What do Houseplants Need?
In general, our home environment is rarely ideal for tropical plants, which need moisture and humidity, proper light & water...and a little TLC! This winter, don't forget: add pebble trays, hook up a grow light, and add an indoor fountain to maximize your tropical setting.
From early spring into fall, our 10,000 square foot Greenhouse is bursting with flowering annuals and tropicals. From fall into the holidays, we have gorgeous color from mum and pansies season into poinsettias and other Christmas color. Valley View Farms prides itself on the QUALITY and SELECTION of plants that we offer for sale at our store. Many of our plants are grown in our own greenhouses at our farm in Hydes, Maryland. All other plants we hand-select from the best of a variety of local and regional growers to ensure each and every plant meets our high quality standards.

Right now, our Greenhouse is filled with lush houseplants, including ferns, ficus, bromeliads, bonsai, cactus, citrus, philodendron (many types), alocasia, dracaena, eugenia, begonias, ivy, spider plants, calathea, sago palms, ZZ plants, tillandsia, jade plants, rubber plants, hoya, peace lilies, pothos, snake plants, cast iron plants and many more!
We also carry everything you need to keep your houseplants happy, including potting soils, moisture meters, watering cans, indoor gardening tools, orchid bark, fertilizers, seed-starting supplies, pots and trays.

Year round we carry a varied selection of houseplants including many of the tropicals listed above, plus African violets, orchids, carniverous plants, low light plants for offices, palms, seasonal flowering plants and much more.
